Job Summary

Perform general accounting activities such as maintenance of the GL and preparation of various accounting statements and reports.



Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
  • Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks to substantiate business transactions.
  • Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts, using calculator or computer.
  • Answer account related inquiries and/or route inquiry to the appropriate department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Nature and Scope
  • Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.
  • Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.

Work Environment
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking and/or there is some requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older
  • Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable

Education and Experience
  • HS Diploma or GED, strongly preferred. Specialized skills training/certification may be required. Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Pay: $15.06 - 20.08 per hour

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in basic bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and cash balancing activities.
