Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable Software Specialist is responsible for supporting user interaction with various software. The Specialist will understand all functions of the application in order to troubleshoot issues, report widespread errors to management, inform the department and applicable users of important updates, assist users with a variety of questions, and coordinate training in person, online, and through materials.

Duties & Essential Job Functions:

1. Serves as the main point of contact for Accounts Payable software related questions. Fields questions regarding Concur requests and Expense Reports, answering most inquiries independently and reporting larger issues to appropriate department management. Provides excellent customer service, communication, and support to employees at all levels.
2. Updates colleagues and department management on common system problems/complaints and any widespread issues.
3. Develops, organizes, and conducts, campus wide training sessions; including both in-person and on-line trainings. Develops training materials to share with TCU employees for various system functionality. Analyzes feedback from training sessions and materials to ensure the content is relevant and helpful.
4. Functions as the subject-matter expert for specific Accounts Payable managed software, working with IT and external partners in areas including but not limited to; Concur SAE integration issues, ACH troubleshooting, various system improvements; system testing; and rollout of new system functionality.
5. Assists management in identifying potential configuration changes based on campus use cases to ensure various software solutions align with university practices, policy and IRS guidelines
6. Collaborates with department management and internal partners to ensure website materials for various Accounts Payable software are updated and applicable based on current system configuration
7. Monitors pre-established Concur reports/KPI's and informs management of any important findings.
8. As the main point of contact for Concur, processes employee expense reports in accordance with established policies and procedures, escalates compliance issues to management after careful review of circumstances, and provides suggested solutions
9. Attends conferences, workshops, and trainings held by the software brands that TCU Accounts Payable uses in order to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the system and provide department management with important updates learned at these events.
10. Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

• Associate's Degree or equivalent in experience.
• 1 year of experience in supporting users with software applications
• Experience with Concur Request and Expense reporting, or a comparable software

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Experience in accounting/GL systems such as PeopleSoft.

• Skill (advanced) using Microsoft Productivity software (e.g., Excel, Word and Outlook)

• Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information.

• Work is indoors and sedentary and is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours.
