The Rock at La Cantera is seeking to hire an Accounts Payable & Receivable Specialist position. The specialist is responsible for receiving, processing, and ensuring payment for goods and services. Functions will include establishing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures, overseeing inventory processes, and completing financial operating reports.

Responsibilities
    • Collaborating with internal departments to gather, analyze, interpret financial data, and collect payments.
    • Receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
    • Verifying vendor accounts, paying vendors, resolving purchase orders, invoice, and payment discrepancies.
    • Issuing purchase order amendments and initiating payments.
    • Ensuring records are accurate and complete, reconciling account transactions, ensuring the general ledger is up to date.
    • Monitoring and managing accounts and billing, overseeing bank deposits, and recording cash receipts and invoicing.
    • Researching and resolving account discrepancies.
    • Maintaining records regarding payments and account statuses.
    • Overseeing bi-monthly inventory.
    • Performing administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, sending bill reminders, filing paperwork and contacting clients to discuss accounts.


Qualifications
  • Working experience as an accounts payable and receivable clerk/specialist with in-depth knowledge of principles.
  • Bachelor's or associate degree in finance, accounting, or related.
  • Advanced competency in accounting and business management software and preparing spreadsheets.
  • Extensive experience in account reconciliation.
  • Keen attention to detail and strong math, typing, and computer skills.
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial reports.
  • Strong math, typing, and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and internal departments.
