Position Summary

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for keeping accurate records of various types of financial information such as billing, invoicing, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Keep records of man hours, equipment hours, costs, quotes, contracts, purchase orders, job books, and invoices. Allocates records to proper billing.
  • Keep records of job books, job files, purchase orders and billing for all companies.
  • Post details of business transactions to computer files from documents such as invoices, cash receipts, etc.
  • Compile statistics invoicing payroll and billing to prepare the Billing/Cost Summaries Report for management on a weekly basis.
  • Balance weekly time sheets from job sites and reconciles differences as needed.
  • Assists in month end reporting and close-out.
  • The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.

Qualifications

High School education or equivalent with an emphasis in accounting. Minimum of five years' experience accounts receivable experience is required. Construction accounting experience is preferred. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access is required. Ability to use 10-key touch. Good oral communication skills.
