Role: Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist! Our client in Houston, Texas is seeking an AR Specialist on a contract-to-hire basis.

Responsibilities:

• Manage payment processing, including posting payments received, applying credits, and ensuring accurate allocation to customer accounts.
• Conduct regular account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of transactions, promptly resolve discrepancies, and reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Lead debt recovery efforts by proactively contacting clients with overdue balances, negotiating payment plans when necessary, and escalating unresolved issues to management.
• Oversee invoice management from creation to distribution, ensuring invoices are accurate, compliant with contractual terms, and promptly sent out.
• Collaborate with internal team members to streamline billing processes, implement best practices for efficient accounts receivable management, and address client inquiries.
• Utilize accounting software and tools to maintain organized records of accounts receivable transactions, invoices, and client communications.
• Provide support to the Finance Team during audits, by preparing documentation and reconciliations related to accounts receivable.
• Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, aging analysis, and cash flow projections for management review.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Prior experience in the mechanical services industry.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks.
