Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled AC&R Technician (Mechanical) to join our team. The AC&R Technician will be responsible for providing full-time onsite support, as well as surge support as tasked, for a wide range of equipment including Centrifugal Air Conditioning Plants, Reciprocating Air Conditioning Plants, Ships Service Refrigeration System, Chilled Water Pumps, High Pressure Air Compressors (HPAC's), Low Pressure Air Compressors (LPAC's), Medium Pressure Air Compressors (MPAC's), Weapon Systems Air Compressors (WSHPAC's), Emergency Breathing Air Compressors (EBAC's), SCBA Compressors, Deballast Compressors, LP/HP Dehydrators. The AC&R Technician will be responsible for fleet technical assistance, assessments, and availability support.

Responsibilities:
- Provide full-time onsite support for a variety of AC&R equipment
- Assist with fleet technical assistance, assessments (i.e., TSRA, INSURV), and availability support
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of Navy assessment programs, visit processes, and reporting methods
- Utilize accepted current instrumentation for diagnosing equipment
- Interpret wiring diagrams and control schematics
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for compiling information and generating reports
- Communicate effectively in writing and orally
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and provide distance support for listed equipment
- Train ship's force personnel during assistance or assessment visits
- Assist with the preparation and adjudication of Departures from Specifications (DFS) and Engineering Support Requests (ESRs)
- Review Work Items and Process Control Procedures (PCPs) when required
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software, ILS-LOGICOM, TAAS-Info, and Fleet Scheduling Center (FSC)

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of Navy assessment programs, visit processes, and reporting methods
- Proficiency in interpreting wiring diagrams and control schematics
- Experience with using accepted current instrumentation for diagnosing equipment
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Troubleshooting experience with ship's air conditioning, refrigeration, air compressors, and electronic cooling water systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Relevant certifications and special skills advantageous to the government should be included in the resume

- Must be able to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks as required
- Ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and elevated areas
- Must be able to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Must have the ability to work in tight spaces and in various weather conditions
- Ability to travel and work in different locations as needed
- Must be able to wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for the job
