Job Description:
Laurel Ridge Community College is accepting applications for adjunct, part-time faculty (day, evening and weekend) positions for an Engineering Technology adjunct. Adjunct Faculty positions are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis as needed. Responsibilities include teaching college level courses, which may include distance learning on and off campus courses during the day, evening and weekends. This position will be located on the Middletown Campus, Fauquier Campus, and Luray-Page County Center as needed.
Please note: applicants must reside in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland or DC.
Adjunct/Continuing Education Faculty listings are on a continuous, open until filled basis. Applicants will be contacted on an as needed basis. Submission of on-line application must also include unofficial transcripts of all college work completed (cover letters and resumes are optional, but recommended).
Compensation and Benefits:
Adjunct/Continuing Education Faculty: The rate per credit hour will commensurate with education and relevant or teaching experience. The position is part time and as such is not eligible for health or leave benefits. However, the position may offer educational benefits through our professional development and educational assistance policies.
Telework
According to DHRM policy 1.61 Teleworking , effective July 5, 2022, Virginia state employees will return to the workplace. Consistent with pre-pandemic policies, telework may be an option for certain eligible positions. Eligible positions are determined by the type of work and job requirements of the position, as defined by heads of agencies.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors in the field or Associates in the field plus 2 years work experience in the field.
- The ability to use instructional technology is required.
- Occupational experience in the field.
- Experience with Canvas or other online course management tools
- College level teaching experience, online experience a plus
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written
