Adjunct Instructor - Biomedical Engineering AY2024-2025

The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) in Ewing, NJ is a highly selective, public institution that has earned national recognition for its commitment to excellence. The School of Engineering at TCNJ is hiring talented, part-time adjunct faculty to teach subjects in Biomedical Engineering, including Bioinstrumentation, Biomaterials, Biomechanics, Mass and Energy biosystems, Biofluids, Biotransport, and Physiological Modeling.

The Biomedical Engineering Department is also accepting applications for instructors in advanced elective topics for 3 rd and 4 th year students. Examples of such courses include Advanced cardiovascular fluid dynamics, Injury biomechanics, Artificial organs, Biomedical imaging, and topics in tissue engineering. The topic should be based on the instructor's education and experience. Additionally, these advanced elective topics courses include a design hour wherein the instructor will guide students in hands-on, literature-based, and/or computational design projects that complement the core lecture material.

For all positions, individuals should hold a PhD in an appropriate field relevant to the proposed topic, but individuals with a master's degree and/or specialized experience will be considered and encouraged to apply. Previous teaching experience, industrial experience, or professional licensure is a plus. We work with our adjunct faculty to schedule teaching that fits into work and personal schedules.
