Position Overview
The Department of Curriculum & Instruction is hiring Adjunct Teaching Specialist or Adjunct Lecturer position for the Curriculum and Instruction Program. This is a temporary, non-tenured, Academic Professional and Administrative (P & A) position as a Teaching Specialist or Lecturer, paid on a per course basis. Applications are reviewed as openings occur, and individual applicants are invited to interview when their skills or areas of expertise match an opening. This posting is designed to establish a pool of instructors.
Applications will not be acknowledged, but will be reviewed when such openings occur throughout the academic year.
The individual hired will be appointed to a Fall, Spring, Summer, or full year part time Teaching Specialist or Lecturer in Curriculum and Instruction during academic year 2024-25.

Job Responsibilities
Teaching (90%)
- Attend class meetings and deliver course content.
- Evaluate student performance and submit grading.
- Respond to student inquiries and meet with students.
Course Preparation (10%)
- Complete orientation and training.
- Meet with appropriate faculty and gather information as needed.
- Develop course content and syllabus.
- Prepare course materials.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- An earned master's in Education, or a closely related field is required for appointment as a Teaching Specialist.
- An earned doctorate in Education or a closely related field is required for appointment as a Lecturer.
- Evidence of attention to diverse identities in teaching or professional experience, and the commitment to support the University's work in diversity, equity, and inclusion

- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at a university level
