Adjunct Mechanical Engineering- AY 2024-2025

The Mechanical Engineering Department at TCNJ is seeking candidates for Adjunct Faculty roles. Adjunct faculty (part-time Instructors) are expected to teach a range of undergraduate courses. In Addition, we are also accepting applications for instructors to teach advanced elective topics for juniors and seniors in the areas of Solid Mechanics, Systems Dynamics, Fluid Mechanics, and Thermal Systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Teaching a range of classes that may include: Dynamics, Manufacturing Processes, Material Science, Strength of Materials, Mechanical Design, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, thermo-fluid Laboratories, CAD, and Finite Element Analysis.
  • Work with our adjunct faculty to schedule teaching that fits into work and personal schedules

Required Qualifications:
  • Previous teaching experience, Industrial experience
  • M.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline and relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctoral degree or professional licensure is a plus
