Position Summary: Supports the CEO/COO in performing secretarial and administrative duties. Provides secretarial, clerical and receptionist skills as needed. Assists with coordinating Medical Staff activities. Maintains staff competency files as designated. Supports Senior Leadership and Medical Staff, as needed. Publishes weekly communications. Maintains files, Board minutes and related documents. Transcribes and maintains minutes for various committees as well as attendance records. Coordinates meetings, manages calendars, submits State licensure application and plans of correction. Coordinates and submits annual survey information to the State and any other regulatory body as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Highschool diploma or equivalent

• Minimum of one year experience in a hospital setting

• Proficiency with computer system applications (MS Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point etc.)

• Ability to be flexible, creative, work independently, work with frequent interruptions, prioritize multiple activities

• Ability to relate positively with all levels of professionals, Physicians, Administrators and Board Members

• Ability to problem solve and make decisions independently

• Good organization and listening skills

• Courteous and tactful communication and telephone skills

• Able to transcribe dictation and take shorthand or note-hand

• Effective written and verbal communication skills
