Under the direct supervision of the Deputy District Director of Administration, this position functions as roving backup support for various administrative functions in the Administration Division. The incumbent will be assigned to complete various assignments within the Administration Division in response to urgent workload and staffing needs.

This position requires the ability to type at a speed of 40 words per minute or more.

Working Conditions
The work environment is subject to change based on the needs of the Administrative Division. The base of operation will be in the District Office, with occasional need to deliver mail to field offices via a State vehicle. While in the office setting, the incumbent works in a climate controlled environment with artificial lighting. While working in the mail room, may be exposed to the various noise levels of reprographic equipment and may also be exposed to a variety of chemicals used in maintaining equipment. Multi-floor buildings are equipped with elevators and stairs. Possession of a valid Driver's License is required to operate a State vehicle.

Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) - Applicants are required to submit an SOQ. The SOQ is a discussion of how an applicant's education, training, experience, and skills meet the criteria in the duty statement to qualify the candidate for the position. The SOQ should address the candidate's experience in the following areas:

  • Describe your experience in preparing written and/or verbal correspondence, and providing prompt and accurate information to internal and external customers.
  • Describe your knowledge of software applications including Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Describe your experience interpreting and organizing various forms of data, and processing invoices and electronic mail delivery.
  • Describe your experience in developing and maintaining cooperative working relationships, and providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. Describe your experience engaging with staff and partners to answer questions, resolve issues and solve problems.
  • Describe your experience in composing a wide variety of documents. Describe your experience using math skills to verify the accuracy of billings and procurement documents, and organizational skills for office operations.
