Job Duties

This position provides administrative support to the Dispute Resolution Unit and the Consumer Protection Section's investigators.
This individual will perform data entry, creation of complaint files, generation of letters at all stages of the complaint process, file room duties including record retention coordination, and other duties as assigned.
This individual will report to the Manager of the Dispute Resolution Unit and work with other members of the Consumer Protection Section as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
  • This position requires competent working knowledge of case file management and basic correspondence.
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent proofreading, proficiency in time management, the ability to work independently and as a team member, and the ability to organize and analyze large quantities of written and verbal information.
  • The successful candidate must also demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure and adjust priorities without close supervision.
  • The successful candidate should be comfortable working with databases and spreadsheets.
  • The position requires basic experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Access, and Excel.
Additional Considerations
  • A high school degree or equivalent is required with some college education preferred.
  • A combination of training and experience indicating possession of the required qualifications may substitute for educational criteria.
  • A background in consumer protection, customer service, or alternative dispute resolution is beneficial but not required.
