This position will provide office support to the health, mental health, nutrition, and wellness promotion services in the UCCS Wellness Center.

Job Duties:

The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Covering the front desk, which will include greeting and checking in and checking out patients/clients, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, answering questions and directing people to the proper resources.
  • Collecting patient/client payments, preparing tickets in Electronic Medical Record and providing walkout receipts to patients/clients.
  • Collecting and entering student immunization records into student information system and assisting with immunization tracking requirements.
  • File maintenance and purging of inactive charts, including scanning into Electronic Medical Record system.

Work Location: 100% on-site

This position has been determined to be eligible for overtime (non-exempt) under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

What We Offer:

Salary Range: Generally starting at $16,972.50 - $21,900 at 50% time per year

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

This position is dependent on the availability of auxiliary revenues funding.

Tentative Search Timeline:

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

  • One (1) year of experience working in a medical office, counseling office, or school setting.
  • Substitution: Completion of Medical Administrative Assistant or similar program that includes internship hours from an accredited college, university or non-correspondence trade school may substitute for experience.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Electronic Medical Record.
  • Experience working in a college health/mental health setting.
  • Experience with accounting of a health/mental health setting.
  • Intermediate skills to be able to use Microsoft Office Suite (esp. Teams, Word and Excel).
  • Experience with student information systems.


Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit. Employee is occasionally required to move. Tasks may involve using a computer screen continuously for long periods of time, hearing within normal range. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
