Description

Provide administrative support and assistance to the Executive Director and staff.

  • Process requests for purchase orders, check requests, and other purchases and payments.
  • Manage multiple general operating and title budgets for the department.
  • Process payroll and maintain employee records.
  • Serve as administrative support to the executive director and Strategic Pipelines Department.
  • Organize and manage routine work activities of the department and campuses, with an emphasis on prioritizing tasks and time.
  • Maintain a calendar/schedule for the building.
  • Support division staff for various trainings, ordering, meeting reservations, etc.
  • Make travel arrangements as requested.
  • Answer general questions for all contacts, providing appropriate answers or directing contact to the appropriate person.
  • Respond to inquiries from employees and the public in an accurate, knowledgeable, and efficient manner.


All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification, as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent (U.S.A. Equivalency).
  • 5 plus years of direct experience.
  • Task-oriented self-starter with the ability to perform to a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to meet established deadlines with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities simultaneously; high degree of flexibility required.
  • Demonstrates excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); proficient in Google Suite.
  • Demonstrates expertise with district databases and programs (Title Crate, Oracle, etc.) and/or demonstrated ability to learn new programs and web-based tools.
  • Displays strong organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates strong written and oral language skills.
  • Ability to work with all levels of district personnel and across departments.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and maintain confidential information.
  • Knowledge of Dallas ISD schools, communities, operations, and administrative policies.
