Job Summary
Reporting directly to the office manager, the Administrative Assistant Intermediate is responsible for assisting the overall operations of the Law School's Office of Development and Alumni Relations (ODAR). The position is responsible for a variety of projects and tasks, including but not limited to coordinating mail and email solicitations and communications, working with volunteers and donors, and assisting with tasks as assigned by the office manager. Occasional evening and weekend work is required.

Responsibilities*
- Work as part of a support staff team to provide excellent customer service to visitors, donors, faculty, and staff
- Serve as back up to the office receptionist
- Work as part of the team to provide overall administrative support to ODAR, including in the areas of expense reporting, gift processing, database and file management, meeting scheduling, and data tracking
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications*
- High school diploma
- At least two years of administrative support experience, preferably in a fundraising environment
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Experience with Google and Microsoft Office suites
- Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously in a fast-paced, team environment
- Strong organizational and customer service skills
- Ability to exercise discretion in dealing with highly sensitive information
- Ability to set priorities, manage complex assignments, and meet competing deadlines while remaining flexible and displaying excellent judgment
Desired Qualifications*
- Experience with specialized database systems like DART and ROI
- U-M expense reporting experience
