Summary
The position will serve as the Deputy Executive Officer (DEO) located in the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), Office of the Director (OD), Office of Management (OM). Duties
- Oversees the implementation of a variety of management services essential to the direction and operation of the IC.
- Participates in planning, developing, formulating, and administering the policies, regulations, and procedures governing the activities of the IC's programs.
- Exercises significant responsibilities in: planning and assigning work, evaluating work performance, giving advice and counsel.
- Serves as principal advisor for all human resource management activities, including compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, manpower planning, recruiting, position and pay management.
- Acts as principal advisor for all acquisition management activities and provides oversight of property management policy, travel, and operational management.
- Monitors the budget process, prepares proposals and justifies current and increased expenditures.
- Represents the IC on various task groups and ad hoc committees and confers with top management officials of NIH on management issues that affect the Agency.
- Serves as a principal advisor to senior management on all phases of administrative management and oversees the implementation of a variety of management services essential to the direction and operation of the IC.
