Why does the job exist?

The Administrative Operations Manager will:
  • Oversee Behavioral Health Local Collaboratives, Behavioral Health Planning Council Operations, and three staff;
  • Provide assistance and interface with the State Behavioral Health Collaboration Director;
  • Provide direction in the oversight of budget, grants and contracts, develops and directs program activities;
  • Interpret federal grant requirements, establishes goals, sets priorities and expected outcomes;
  • Provide oversight and decision-making authority over funding streams.


How does it get done?

The Administrative Operations Manager is responsible for:
  • Developing goals, directing activities and allocating resources;
  • Leading staff and Behavioral Health Collaborative projects;
  • Participating in outreach events, public education presentations, and training activities;
  • Organizing and conducting inter-agency Ops Teams meetings (3) bi-monthly to review tasks of the 4 BHC goals;
  • Managing all Local Collaborative contracts;
  • Managing Administrative Service Organization (ASO) activities for contracting, budgeting, invoicing, and data outputs;

Minimum Qualification

A Bachelor's Degree in any field of study from an accredited college or university and six (6) years of professional level experience with a tactical impact directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Any required licensure, certification or registration shall be defined at the time of recruitment and will be in addition to the above requirements.

Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.
