We are accepting applications for an Administrative Professional 2, position number 20099279, to support the Training and Development staff within the Office of Human Resources, headquartered at the James Rhodes State Office Tower, 30 East Broad Street, 11th floor, Columbus, Ohio 43215.

What You'll Do:
  • Operate under general supervision with a robust understanding of agency and state policies and procedures regarding the activities of the Training & Development Continuing Education (CE) program.
  • Review Continuing Education (CE) applications to ensure all documentation is correct and complete.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of materials, information, and programs to enhance the effectiveness of the CE program.
  • Provide technical advice and information to administrators to facilitate decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with discipline approvers (Ohio Board of Nursing, Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board, Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board, and Ohio Psychological Association) and program coordinators to gather information or clarify submitted documentation, ensuring compliance with the Continuing Education process and associated requirements, including Ohio Administrative Code and Board guidelines.
  • Work alongside the Training & Development team to provide necessary analytics and program information for the integration of CE programs into the online learning management system.
  • Handle public relations tasks, including researching and addressing inquiries and complaints, providing detailed explanations of program requirements to potential applicants, and sharing best practices.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and maintain accurate Continuing Education data across necessary platforms and databases for both internal and external reporting.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures that align with established program policies.
  • Support superior by managing routine administrative tasks and making informed recommendations on program activities.
  • Undertake special assignments and projects as directed.

Qualifications
18 mos. exp. or 18 mos. training in secretarial/administrative professional field.

-Or completion of associate core coursework in secretarial science or business office applications from accredited career school or community college.

-Or 6 mos. exp. as Administrative Professional 1, 16871.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
