The essential duties and responsibilities of the Administrative Specialist Administrative are the following:
- Provides administrative coordination for the Practicum Education Office.
- Offers social work supervision to students in placement as needed.
- Assists in developing, implementing, and evaluating practicum education policies and procedures.
- Maintains a database for all practicum-related materials, including MOUs, student applications, agency applications, and evaluations.
- Troubleshoots student problems at practicum placement sites in collaboration with the practicum director, practicum instructors, and liaisons.
- Provides support to the Director of Practicum Education and unit staff.
- Ensures the successful preparation of graduates for social work practice, their contribution to research and scholarship, and their leadership for community service.
- Manages Basic Practicum Supervisor Training.
- Co-facilitates training and develops training resources.
- Co-facilitate practicum orientations to students and practicum agency instructors/representatives.
- Provide support to the Practicum Education Office placement effort.
- Maintains Practicum information on department databases and website.
- Creates and disseminates Practicum placement information and monitors placement referrals for confirmations.
- Implements quality assurance measures to confirm and maintain current data.
- Promotes program procedures, policies and academic objective, and assists with problem resolution as directed.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Master's degree in social work or related field.
- Excellent organization skills, independence and initiative.
- Experience with administrative reporting.
- Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, organizational, administrative and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs including Word, Publisher, ACCESS, and Excel.
