Job Responsibilities

Do you have experience in Data Quality and Record keeping? Are you detail oriented? Do you enjoy working with the public? If so, the Department of Motor Vehicles may have a position for you as a Compliance Specialist. The team at DMV values teamwork, commitment, and excellent customer service.

This position is in Driver Services CDL Helpdesk, Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Headquarters in Blythewood, S.C.

This is a Temporary Grant Position

Responsibilities of the Temp Compliance Specialist I

• Applies Medical Certificate to Driver License System.
• Prepares Medical Certificates for Scanning.
• Sends correspondence to customer.
• Process daily mail, faxes and email.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Minimum Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to learn and explain policy and procedures to DMV customers.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Proficient in basic computer skills.
• Works under general supervision after a period of training
• Works in general office environment.
• May be required to work extended hours outside of the normal scheduled work week.
• Must be able to lift 10-15 lbs.
• The work requires sitting for prolonged periods of time and significant time spent at a computer terminal.
