Administrative Supervisor Patient Logistics - (Per Diem) - Nights

Looking for Saturday night coverage. Previous experience as a Virtua Nursing Supervisor strongly preferred.

Job Summary :

The Admin Supervisor Patient Logistics is responsible for monitoring bed capacity and optimal patient placement both currently and prospectively across all Virtua facilities. The Supervisor will collaborate and coordinate with Administrative Nursing Supervisors, Emergency Department Nurse Managers, the Behavioral Health Administrative Supervisor, the centralized Staffing Office, Physicians, the Transfer Center, Medcom Dispatch, and Outcomes Managers in relation to internal inter-facility patient movement, the transfer of patients out of the system, and the placement of admissions from external facilities.

The Admin Supervisor Patient Logistics will utilize effective verbal communication, review technology that supports patient placement activities and engage in swift clinical decision-making. The position applies nursing knowledge derived from education and experience as the foundation for clinical triage and placement decisions and communications.

Position Responsibilities:

Monitors the Bed Capacity and Discharge Dashboards throughout the shift and prepares for the State of the House Calls.

Monitors and audits external transfer requests to help support network integrity.

Evaluate transfers and determine if fiscally appropriate.

Works with campus leaders and Administration Nursing Supervisors to assist with ensuring network efficiency including but not limited to collaborating on surge/decompress strategies.

Works with campus nursing and medical staff in identifying and supporting timely discharges.

Facilitates Patient logistics system wide calls.

Position Qualifications Required :

Required Experience:

2 years clinical experience. 2 years management experience preferred.

Required Education:

BSN or Bachelor's preferred.

Training / Certification / Licensure:

NJ RN License, BLS and ACLS
