Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours per week.

Shift : In Office, at our Ormond Beach Home Care Office, Days, Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm

The role you'll contribute:

Performs medical records and business office functions including but not limited to answering telephones in professional and courteous manner, transferring calls to appropriate individuals, electronic medical record management, faxing/scanning documentation, managing/ordering of office/medical supplies, tracking and management of consents/transfers/discharges, payroll functions and other duties as assigned by supervision.

• Participate in orientation, in-service and staff meetings as scheduled.

• Secures patient confidentiality by protecting patient information on and off duty.

• Develop skills through attendance at staff development meetings, pertinent educational activities.

• Answers phone promptly, courteously and professionally. Screens and transfers calls to appropriate personnel. Relays messages to staff as needed.

• Ensures that Plans of Treatment (485's), Face to Face documents, Physicians orders and other documentation requiring timely signatures are sent, tracked and returned and logged into system in a timely fashion as needed.

• Runs various reports to monitor the outstanding 485 and orders on a daily basis. Ensures all items are being followed up on and obtained back signed, checked in and scanned to EMR in a timely manner.

Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications :

• High school graduate or equivalent

• Medical background minimum 2 years experience

Preferred qualifications:

• Associate degree and/or 5 years of experience in related field
