As an Administrator, you will plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and assist the direction of the facility's programs and activities, ensuring the delivery of competent and age appropriate care that encompasses the physiological and psychological needs of the resident. You will be responsible for:
  • Ensures that appropriate standards of resident care and practice are developed, consistent with current nursing and other research findings, as well as state and nationally recognized professional standards.
  • Develops and maintains written policies and procedures that govern the operation of the facility.
  • Assists department supervisors in the development and use of departmental policies and procedures, and reviews the policies and procedures annually to assure continued appropriateness and compliance with current regulations.
  • Interprets the facility's policies and procedures to team members, residents, families, visitors, and others as necessary. Acts as a liaison between the facility and the residents and families.
  • Ensures that public information describing the services provided in the facility is accurate and descriptive.
  • Ensures that all team members, residents, family members, and visitors follow established policies and procedures.
  • Provides direction to department supervisors to assist in developing and maintaining department specific budgets, including operational and capital expense items.
  • Represents the organization when dealing with outside agencies, including governmental agencies and third party payors, as well as vendors and contractors.
  • Maintains open communication with the Medical Director and other members of the medical staff.
  • Complies with all state and federal regulatory agencies and requirements.
  • Participates and develops surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies.
  • Reviews and develops a plan of correction (POC) for deficiencies noted during the survey process and provides written copy of the POC to the Administration of the Health System.
  • Maintains good public relations programs that serve the best interests of the community and the facility alike.
  • Provides necessary resources and support for resident care supervisors.
  • Assists in the recruitment and selection of competent department supervisors, consultants, and other auxiliary personnel.
  • Consults with departmental supervisors to assist in correcting/elimination problem areas, or improving services.
  • Counsels and/or disciplines personnel as necessary, while ensuring that disciplinary action is administered fairly and without regard to race, color, creed, national origin, age, sex, religion, handicap, or marital status.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of educational efforts for the organization.
  • Ensures that staff are aware of the follow all established safety guidelines, including fire and disaster protocols.
  • Successfully completes all other duties as may be assigned.


What you will need:
  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited college required
  • 5 years management experience in long term care setting.
  • Current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. CPR Preferred.
  • Communication (written and oral), conflict management, organizational, composure, tenacity, teamwork/team-building, discipline, coaching, and specific knowledge relates to aspects of care for individuals requiring long term care services, including the psychological and psychosocial impact or residential care.
