Essential Functions

Provide excellent customer service. Apply university admission standards and policies to process and evaluate completed applications for admission to the University. Determine if students meet program-specific admission requirements. Verify residency for applicants or determine if more documentation is needed according to state and University policies. Scan and index official documents to student files. Process requests for readmission. Load courses from college transcripts. Monitor emails in the processing email account and those sent from the Admissions email account. Answer questions via phone and email to serve as a resource for students, parents, other institutions, and the Tennessee Tech campus community. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Two years of experience in a responsible clerical position with significant public contact. Experience in word processing and using spreadsheets. Ability to communicate effectively with university personnel, students, and off-campus contacts. Willingness to be part of a fun and fast-paced office team.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's degree or greater. Experience with Banner or other higher education student database software.

Work Hours

Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
