The Office of Admissions at the University of Tennessee at Martin is currently accepting applications for an Admissions Specialist who will work on the front line of the Admissions Office. This position is focused on processing student admissions applications and evaluating academic credentials while providing exceptional customer service.

Job Duties include:

• Process admissions web applications using Slate CRM and Banner

• Evaluate high school transcripts, ACT scores, and make admissions decisions based on specified policies and procedure

• Perform customer service duties that include completing applications; greeting visitors; answering questions; answering and screening phone calls; reading, routing and responding to incoming and outgoing mail, email and fax correspondence; and creating good working relationships with administrators, faculty, staff, students, and the general public

• Work with other departments on campus to assist with the admissions process, including financial aid, records, and student succe

• Provide support during and leading up to admissions events such as SOAR, Preview Day, etc.

• Actively engage in professional and personal development activities and events;

• Assist other staff and support staff as needed;

• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Banner, Slate CRM, and working at a university.
