Responsibilities

The Division of Neurocognitive Disorders, within the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, is recruiting an adult Clinical Neuropsychologist. This Neuropsychologist will work closely within a multispecialty team of clinicians conducting new patient consultation and evaluation, developing treatment plans, and supporting allied health colleagues who provide ongoing treatment to patients in the Outpatient Brain Rehabilitation Clinic. The ideal candidate would have strong knowledge of the neurobehavioral sequelae of brain injury as well as previous experience working within a complex rehabilitation team. Competitive early career applicants and recent fellowship graduates will also be considered. The Brain Rehabilitation Division at Mayo Clinic has been continuously funded since 1998 as a TBI Model System with the most recent approval allowing for another 5 years of local and national brain rehabilitation research. The neuropsychologist hired into this position would be offered leadership opportunities and support for research endeavors through the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Model System grant; therefore, previous experience with this program is desirable as well as an established track record of research productivity. This Neuropsychologist will be joining a warm and supportive Division comprised of 15 Board-Certified Neuropsychologists and Rehabilitation Psychologists and will benefit from generous administrative and technical support for their practice. As an academic institution, active engagement in research and education is expected with resources available for program development and scholarly pursuits. Faculty appointment will be commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

Candidates must be eligible for licensure in the state of Minnesota and be Board-certified/Board-eligible through the American Board of Professional Psychology. Requirements for the position include completion of an APA- or CPA-accredited doctoral program/internship, and a post-doctoral fellowship. Applicants should demonstrate a strong interest in multidisciplinary clinical, educational, and research collaboration and excellent interpersonal communication and leadership abilities.
