Job Description

Directs and plans the objectives of the department to promote the delivery of high-quality care. Develops and designs policies, services, and programs. Implements redesigned programs, and provides operational expertise.

Job Responsibility
  • Develops, implements and oversees administrative methods and procedures.
  • Develops and oversees program components and overall assessments of clinical activity.
  • Reports operational performance, justification and/or corrective actions.
  • Monitors expenditures to ensure operations are within budgetary limits.
  • Design and implements clinical performance improvement projects that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of patient care.
  • Supports the development of an effective intra-disciplinary communications process within the department and across the organization for evidence based collaborative projects.
  • Develops policies and procedures for clinical operations, clinical compliance and data analysis, and reporting.
  • Identifies potential new development projects and assesses the feasibility of pursuit.

Job Qualification
  • Master's Degree in a Nurse Practitioner Program and National Board Certification in specialty area required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Current License to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in New York State, and Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
  • OR Bachelor's Degree, required and Graduate of an accredited (Accreditation Review Committee for Physician Assistant Programs ARC-PA) program, required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant (PA) by the New York State Department of Education required and Current NCCPA Certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
  • OR Master's Degree in clinical nursing practice required.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and CNS certification in applicable specialty practice areas: Adult Health, Oncology, Pediatrics and Psychiatry/Mental Health by a national certification organization (ANCC, AACN or ONCC) in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
  • and 5-7 years of technical experience, required. and 0-2 years of leadership / management experience, required.
