General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for an Advanced Engineering Support Specialist supporting the Nosis and STRMS Programs. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports the knowlege, training, qualification, and proficeincy of some of our nations core defense/intelligence services and systems. Our employees work closely with esteemed fleet and government customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions around the world.
In our highly collaborative and global environment, youll provide lab, onboard, and distance support and services direct to our fleet customers and our own field support team. Essentially, youll perform research, installation, and engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, fielding, troubleshooting, and repairing of software, devices, assemblies, systems, and third-party applications, as well as, perform technical activities which impact the proposal, system level design, detail design and manufacture of advanced software and electronics systems.

Combined Salary Range
USD $101,348.00 - USD $112,433.00 /Yr.

- A Bachelors of Science or Technology degree, a related specialized area or field (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

- Microsoft Windows Server and/or Linux Server Administration experience.
- Oracle Database operation and maintenance.
- Previous CANES or PPLAN Network administrator experience.
- Must be able to complete all requirements for DoD 8570 Certification within 6 months.
- Must have strong organizational and analytical skills as well as practical problem-solving and decision making-skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, with minimal supervision, and be able to manage multiple projects and issues simultaneously.
- Load and update software applications as required.
- Operation in a shipboard Information Technology Customer support capacity.
- Linux, ORACLE, VMware, Hyper-V, MSSQL, Windows Server 2008 or higher.
- CompTIA Security + Certification.
- Linux + Certification or equivalent training and experience.
- Experience with VBScript, JavaScript, Windows Scripting, WBEM, .NET, JBOSS.
- Experience with CANES or PPLAN Environments
- Use, administration, and maintenance of Nosis and/or STRMS Software Suites
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of working in a shipboard environment.
