We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated US citizen to join our team as a Technical Support & Field Application Engineer, focusing on the Eastern regions of the USA.

As a Field Application Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving customer satisfaction and business growth in the machine vision and defence segments. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise, support, and solutions to customers while representing EXOSENS - Advanced Imaging as a technology leader in the industry. Your proactive approach, combined with your dedication to customer success, will contribute to our continued achievements as a challenger in the market.

The role allows you to work remotely in your home office in Massachusetts, preferably in the Boston area. You would be joining our small but growing team and working with regional customers as well as colleagues based in different states and countries. We would therefore require you to have a great sense of initiative and work independently. Having colleagues all over the world also meant that you need to be flexible with your working hours.

These are your Key Responsibilities:
  1. Technical Support: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers in the western regions, offering guidance and assistance with product evaluation, selection, integration, and troubleshooting.
  2. Customer Interactions: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their unique needs and challenges to provide tailored solutions and support.
  3. Business Development: Identify and pursue opportunities for business expansion and growth within the assigned territory, collaborating closely with the sales team to drive revenue.
  4. Product Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for customers, showcasing the capabilities and advantages of our products.
  5. Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to provide valuable insights and strategic recommendations to the company.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure alignment and coordination in meeting customer requirements and achieving business objectives.
  7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, technical issues, and resolutions, providing regular updates and reports to management.

These are the qualifications we are looking for
  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  2. Proven experience in a customer-facing technical role, preferably in the machine vision or defence industries.
  3. Strong understanding of imaging technologies, camera systems, and associated software.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
  5. Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and customer engagement.
  6. Motivated by challenges and driven to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  7. Ability to work independently and remotely, while collaborating effectively teams with teammates worldwide.
