Our multi-disciplinary approach combines M&A, industry and other function specialists to provide fact-based answers and objective feedback geared to minimizing risk and increasing returns.

Work you'll do

As a Virtual M&A Delivery Professional with grounded exposure to accounting issues and reporting requirements, you will work virtually while researching and working with M&A teams on a broad spectrum of deal and accounting matters including issues in accounting for business combinations, consolidations, share-based compensation, revenue recognition, leases, intangibles and financial instruments. In addition, you will have the opportunity to directly deliver highly valued service to clients through working on a diverse array of M&A engagements. You will:
  • Demonstrate an ability to identify and evaluate business, industry, financial, related transactions potential "deal breakers", and deal-specific risks and opportunities
  • Evaluate targets' historical and projected earnings and cash flows; hidden contingencies, commitments; as well as quality of assets and internal control structure
In this delivery-model role, professionals focus on project execution, providing high quality service without the demands of travel, business development, or client-relationship management.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 4 plus years of US GAAP Accounting experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
  • CPA, CA certification
  • Masters in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
  • Audit experience with PCAOB registered public accounting firm

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $76,523 to $134,250.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
