A/E/C Engineering Branch Manager II (Columbia, SC)

Akkodis is searching for an Engineering Management Professional to provide leadership while managing direct and support administrative and technical staff for an engineering consulting company.

This person is responsible for growing the South Carolina Branch in revenue and business development activities as well as general leasehold improvements, project and office equipment, and proper oversight and utilization of all personnel.

Type: Direct Hire
Salary : $140k - $165k base + bonus (15-20%) + ESOP
Location : Columbia, SC

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

• Oversees an office of 35+ professionals.
• Realize company Vision and Values.
• Communicate safety initiatives, rules, and guidelines for office.
• Leads the direction of the office's business development efforts in Columbia, SC, and surrounding areas.
• Profit/loss management, employee supervision, project management, quality control, health and safety oversight, client development activities, and new business development.
• Direct and/or coordinate pursuits and large proposals in all service lines.
• Assist Department Managers in determining/acquiring their staffing needs.
• Develop and execute annual office business plan.
• Develop office annual and financial budgets.
• Communicates with the Regional and Division Manager's regarding progress including business development, project schedules, employee management, financial results, and equipment/facility/organizational needs.
• Coordinates with Division, Region and Corporate to maximize the use of technical experts, as needed.
• Promotes continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects.
• Ensure best practices are being followed and holds Managers accountable for quality control standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of specific A/E/C practice experience
• Professional Certification or licensure in field of expertise
• Prior financial and budget related experience required
• Experience managing multi-tiered teams
• Valid driver's license required
