Job Description
DCS Corp has an exciting opportunity for an Aerospace Engineer (Structural Analysis) to support the Air Force SEEK EAGLE Office (AFSEO) Modeling, Analysis, and Tools Support (SEMATS) contract.  The work performed furthers the USAF SEEK EAGLE aircraft/store compatibility effort, as well as broader USAF goals.
Essential Job Functions:
An engineer is being sought to perform structural analysis of sophisticated wind tunnel systems: reconfigurable aircraft models with complex components; innovative support mechanisms compatible with a wide range of inventory and development weapon models; and components constructed using multiple advanced manufacturing processes.
The engineer will participate in a working environment focused on the evaluation of aircraft compatibility with a wide variety of external and internal stores necessary to conduct the range of USAF operational and test missions.
The Aerospace Engineer will work in an Integrated Test & Evaluation (IT&E) environment. Duties include the following broad-ranging responsibilities in support of store separation discipline tasks:
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Master's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with 10 years of relevant experience (at least 2 years of specific aerospace structural analysis experience); OR a Doctorate with 5 years of relevant experience.
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance within 6-9 months.
Knowledge of structural analysis aerodynamics and fluid mechanics.
Experience with established industry finite element analysis (FEA) software (e.g. PATRAN / NASTRAN).
Experience with technical drawing preparation and checking (ASME Y14.5).
Experience operating in LINUX/UNIX environments using scripting languages (python, PERL, etc.).
Knowledge of aircraft, air-launched weapons, and aircraft suspension equipment.
General engineering experience including familiarity with modeling & simulation are desired to meet the basic position requirements.
Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently, as well as with a team.
Ability to travel using commercial airlines is required to support professional obligations.

- Perform sophisticated structural analysis tasks, in conjunction with aerodynamic analysis.
- Design/direct ground tests, wind tunnel tests, and flight tests.
- Apply modeling and simulation tools to complex, challenging, and unprecedented aerodynamic configurations.
- Devise engineering software scripts and programs for specific program engineering purposes; software development could be included in the task portfolio.
- Professionally document certification artifacts, engineering documentation (e.g. test plans, analysis results), and formal presentations.
- Works as a member of a discipline team in a dynamic multi-tasking environment.
