The Labor and Workforce Development Agency (LWDA) is seeking a highly motivated leader to serve as the Agency's Office Manager. This position will help support the daily operations of the Agency in the areas of policy, fiscal and administrative services.

Under the general direction of the Agency Operations Officer [Staff Services Manager II (SSM II)], the Agency Office Manager (SSM I) plans, organizes, directs, and supervises the work of the Fiscal Policy and Administration unit, which includes multidisciplinary professional and technical staff. The SSM I has supervisory and leadership responsibilities and actively participates as member of the Agency's management team.

The person in this role will stay up to date on the necessary skills, tools, and methods for their tasks, and communicate clearly with local agencies, the public, and other employees. They are also responsible for supervising support staff, ensuring their duties are carried out effectively and in line with LWDA policies on attendance, leave, and workplace behavior.

Location: This position is located at the Labor and Workforce Development Agency headquarters within the Employment Development Department building at 800 Capitol Mall, Sacramento, CA 95814. The surrounding area includes the Capitol Building, various historic government offices, a surplus of restaurants, and the Golden One Center Downtown Commons.
