Cognizant is looking for an authority and highly motivated AI/ML Ops Engineer to join our Analytics team. You must have a validated background in data-driven problem solving and be able to develop and implement innovative solutions with little to no mentorship. Location: Onsite Role in Charlotte, NC.
AI/ML Ops Engineer

Job Description:
  • Lead sophisticated technology Cloud initiatives, including those that are companywide, with broad impact
  • Act as a catalyst in automating the provisioning of Cloud Infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Make decisions in developing standards and best practices for engineering and large-scale technology solutions
  • Design, optimize, and detail the engineering aspects of the Cloud platform
  • Lead and exchange views of industry best practices and how new technologies influence the Cloud technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Review and analyze sophisticated, large-scale technology solutions in Cloud for strategic business objectives and solving technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple parameters, including intangibles or outstanding technical factors
  • Collaborate and consult with key technical specialists, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
  • Build and enable Cloud infrastructure, automate the orchestration for GCP
  • Work in a globally distributed team and provide innovative and robust Cloud centric solutions
  • Closely work with Product Team and vendors to develop and deploy Cloud services to meet customer expectations
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, and operations teams to ensure flawless integration and delivery of cloud-based systems
  • Capture and analyze data to diagnose the root cause of Cloud issues, recommend and implement solutions to resolve issues in timely manner
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and a proven track record of building complex infrastructure programmatically with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with IaC tools Terraform and GitHub
  • 5+ years of experience in scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab)
  • In-depth knowledge of GCP services including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Vertex AI
  • Experience in provisioning Airflow/Composer/DataProc/BigQuery/Vertex AI with enterprise controls
  • Hashicorp Certification: Terraform Associate required
Desired Qualifications:
  1. Hashicorp Certification: Vault Associate preferred
  2. Google Cloud Certification required. Professional DevOps certification preferred
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $[120,000 - 130,000 USD] depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
