Overview

The Alcohol Compliance Manager oversees and ensures adherence to all regulatory requirements and internal policies related to the sale and distribution of alcohol within the organization. They play a crucial role in maintaining legal compliance, minimizing risks, and promoting responsible alcohol service practices.

This role pays an hourly wage of $60.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and interpret federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to alcohol sales and distribution.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance levels.
  • Provide training to employees on alcohol laws, regulations, and responsible service practices.
  • Educate staff on identifying fake IDs, signs of intoxication, and handling difficult situations related to alcohol service.
  • Maintain accurate records of permits, licenses, and certifications related to alcohol sales.
  • Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies as required.
  • Collaborate with departments such as legal, operations, and human resources to ensure consistent compliance across the organization.
  • Serve as a resource for management and staff regarding alcohol compliance issues.
  • Assess potential risks related to alcohol sales and implement measures to mitigate them.
  • Investigate incidents of non-compliance and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor changes in alcohol laws and regulations and update policies accordingly.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of compliance programs and recommend improvements.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience (3-5 years) in alcohol compliance, regulatory affairs, or related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to alcohol sales and distribution.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) or similar is a plus.
