Amazon Robotics is seeking a talented and motivated student to join our Amazon Robotics as Program Manager Co-op for a fall assignment (July - Dec 2024) in our North Reading, MA office.
The candidate will have the opportunity work with senior program management, science and engineering staff to contribute to existing university outreach engagements as well as new engagements, processes, and mechanisms. The ideal candidate has strong program/project management skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and has a passion for contributing to team and customer success.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage one large, or multiple smaller projects in university outreach or stem education
- Project size and quantity is dependent upon candidate comfort level as well as business project priority at the time of hire
- Interface cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams to deliver project requirements
- Work with science, engineering, and campus recruiting to implement process changes
- Leverage and develop project management skills including:
- Development of project schedules using project tracker, or other chart tool of choice
- Manage a risk register, including identifying, assessing and mitigating risks
- Design and track metrics to evaluate program impact.
- Analyze data to inform program priorities.
- Bi-weekly project status reporting to leadership team
- Opportunities for process improvement related to management of sustaining projects and activities
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
North Reading, MA, USA
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or MBA and is interested in project and/or program management
- Must be eligible and available for a full-time (40h / week) 6-month co-op between July to Dec 2024
- Graduation is December 2024 or later
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with project trackers (or other equivalent Gantt chart tools)
- Familiarity with university recruiting, STEM outreach, research administration, analytics, or content development
- The candidate should have completed at least 1 internship or co-op in the project management field
