Description

Assists American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center Coordinator in assisting with and teaching AHA courses within scope of AHA Instructor level certification.

Reports to: Market Director People Services

Participates in our American Heart Association Training Center program by assisting with and teaching AHA classes within scope of Instructor level certifications.

Prepares classroom and supplemental teaching aids required for class

Utilizes appropriate AHA lesson plan for general class structure to meet AHA course learning objectives

Completes all necessary paperwork on a timely basis and submits to AHA Training Center Coordinator

Qualifications

Minimum Education

High School Diploma - Required

Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred) or other clinical field - Preferred

Required Skills

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Knowledge and ability to utilize adult learning principles in a training capacity.

Certifications:

American Heart Association instructor certification for BLS & ACLS - Required

PALS preferred or obtained within 90 days from approved American Heart Association training center.
