The Assortment Analyst supports their manager in partnering with both merchants and planning to help shape strategies that contribute to the assortment vision. Through analytics, the Assortment Analyst works both independently and collaboratively to drive projects and provide recommendations that can optimize sales, inventory & assortment results. The Assortment Analyst will also be responsible for managing the accurate execution of assortment strategies using allocation system applications. This includes overseeing the standard allocation approach, maintaining the minimum and maximum allocation quantities, new hierarchy set up, and trouble-shooting as needed.

Analysts work on projects and tasks where analysis of situations or data requires a review of diverse factors. Analysts must exercise judgment to determine appropriate action(s) to resolve a variety of issues and builds productive internal/external working relationships. In this role Analysts are developing their professional knowledge and expertise.
The base salary range for this role is $66,560 - $94,650. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assortment Strategy Analysis

• Complete the discovery to collaborate and strategize with Merchant partners on business and assortment opportunities
• Identify and conduct high level analytics to support business needs
• Seasonal Strategies

• Ad Hoc requests
• Define and implement allocation approaches that result in an optimal inventory mix to improve the customer experience
• Participate in field visits to assess allocation results and identify assortment opportunities

Inventory Plan Analysis
• Collaborate with Planning partners to resolve issues that address plan achievement
• Identify issues impacting inventory plan achievement and develop recommendations for improvement

Essential Operations
• Manage and drive allocation automation to support timely receipt processing
• Ensure allocation department tools are current and accurate
• Validate automated allocation approaches
• Support allocation execution through accurate and timely use of system applications

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Bachelor's Degree, preferred
• 1-2 years equivalent work experience
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Efficient verbal and written communication skills
• Retail Math
• Retail software experience, a plus (JDA or Other Allocation Software)
• Ability to independently analyze data sets to solve problems and summarize recommendations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.
