Job Description
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The Analyst I, Procurement serves as a resource to the Purchasing department for PeopleSoft ERP/Supply Chain Management module. Serves as a lead on resolving issues related to ERP Software. Works closely with the Purchasing department and OTS to resolve issues.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of navigation for the procurement process in People Soft ERP
- Knowledge of the procurement process in a public institution
- Ability to understand the impact changes to system configuration will have on integrated ERP systems and existing internal and external interfaces
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while still meeting deadlines
- Ability to work in a collaborative work environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with other departments to resolve issues
- Working knowledge of PC's and related software (Microsoft Office Suite), and the ability to learn new software
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent customer services skills
PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:
- Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
- Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
- Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with Supply Chain Management concepts
- Experience working in higher education
- Knowledge of electronic bidding
- Knowledge of public procurement processes
Salary
Hiring salary range is $48,152 - $55,375
Lone Star College provides a hiring salary range for all posted full-time non-faculty positions.
