This position will play a critical role within the Line of Business Compliance organization supporting the Enterprise Digital & Data Solutions (EDDS) business unit. The position will provide strategic support to drive new product innovation for the business while building an effective framework for compliance with applicable laws and regulations for Consumer and Business products, features, and processes across the group's global remit. The successful candidate will contribute alongside a high-performing team to deliver an effective compliance risk management oversight program for the EDDS business, as well as provide risk management advisory services to promote safe, scalable innovation across the portfolios. This is a visible and strategic position with regular interaction with a variety of teams in the 1st and 2nd line.

How will you make an impact in this role?

  • Provide solution-oriented compliance support to assist the Global EDDS Business in achieving goals while meeting compliance requirements
  • Build and maintain close partnership with Market Compliance Officers (MCOs) to promote safe and scalable regulatory change management across AXP's global markets
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business partners and internal stakeholders (e.g. other Global Risk and Compliance colleagues, General Counsel Office, Operational Excellence, Independent Compliance Testing, Privacy, Internal Audit Group)
  • Support new initiatives through the New Product Approval (NPA) process including compliance risk assessments, review of third parties, committee updates, advisory support over development of controls, policies, and procedures
  • Provide regular updates via reporting and substantive presentations about Compliance risks to senior leaders


Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrated regulatory knowledge of global financial regulations including experience with AML, Consumer Protection, and Privacy laws
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in the development and selection of compliant solutions
  • Strong project management skills, ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently, work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt easily to frequent change
  • Strong collaborative skills and experience leading and working in a matrixed and agile environment and on cross-functional teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and self-driven
  • Prior compliance, legal or risk experience
  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience


Qualifications

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
