Attention Anesthesia Technicians looking to join a dynamic Danbury Hospital team! We are looking for a PRN ANESTHESIA TECHNICIAN to assist Anesthesiologists and CRNAs in maintaining a well equipped, clean and orderly OR environment. This role allows for flexibility, requires shift coverage of 2 per month and the opportunity to grow within the operating room. Requires working availability M - F and rotating Sundays - rotating shifts. MUST read and speak English fluently and have knowledge of surgical terminology and previous anesthesia tech experience. Education : minimum high school diploma (or equivalent). Pay based on full years of experience with Anesthesia Tech, CNA, PCT, and Medical Assistant experience considered. Summary:
Assist Anesthesiologists and CRNA's in maintaining a well equipped, clean and orderly environment in which to administrator clinical anesthesia at Danbury Hospital.

Responsibilities:
1. Prepares anesthesia machines and equipment/supplies for procedures & assists with room turnover in an expeditious & efficient manner.
2. Cleans, stocks medications and supplies, & maintains anesthesia carts, machines & equipment in all areas of operating rooms/procedural rooms where anesthetics are administered while assuring supply availability for continuity of operations.
3. Stocks anesthesia workroom and all other designated locations with medications & supplies to maintain availability of anesthesia supplies.
4. Collaborates with anesthesia staff to preparation standard stock forms to ensure constant & efficient restocks.
5. Maintains appropriate logs and records for tracking of medications.
6. Responds immediately to any reasonable requests for equipment, supplies or assistance made by anesthesiologist or anesthetist involved in pre-, intra-, or post- operative patient care to assure their satisfaction.
7. Achieves the organizations established expectations for behavioral standards quality service, cost containment, teamwork & self development.
8. Responsible for resolution of first level of trouble shooting for anesthesia gas delivery systems and anesthesia to resolve, refer issue to supervisor & Bio-Medical engineering.
9. Deals courteously and tactfully with patients & staff.
10. Meets department standards for attendance, punctuality, customer service, telephone communication & cost containment.
11. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Other information:
Required: Read and speak English fluently.
Minimum Experience: one year

Desired: Previous anesthesia tech experience. Knowledge of surgical terminology and math helpful.
