Animal Care Technician

Piper Companies is looking for an Animal Care Technician to work with a renown academic institution located in Philadelphia, PA .

Responsibilities for the Animal Care Technician:
• Perform daily animal care duties including but not limited to health checks, cage changing, and waste disposal
• Maintain and oversee laboratory sanitation and environmental conditions such as humidity and temperature
• Participate in basic veterinary care for animals housed within the vivarium
• Maintain logs and research documentation in accordance to company standards
• Provide support to rodent breeding colonies

Qualifications for the Animal Care Technician:
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in animal husbandry
• HS diploma required (BS in biology or related field preferred)

Compensation for the Animal Care Technician:
• Salary range dependent upon experience
