Job Description:
PURPOSE OF JOB : The Development Specialist focuses on targeted fundraising projects and campaigns to attract philanthropic support from key constituent groups within the hospital and community setting. The Development Specialist also plays a pivotal role in the Foundation's Annual Giving program, and is active in the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of potential and current donors. The Development Specialist is responsible for securing philanthropic support through personalized communications, events, direct mail, e-communications , and face-to-face presentations.
  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
  • Independently manage Foundation volunteer committees and targeted special giving campaigns
  • Participate in pipeline development and donor moves management program, including donor identification, research, cultivation, solicitation, requesting support and executing prompt follow-up, stewardship, and recognition
  • Create, provide project management, and oversee the Foundation's robust annual giving program
  • Manage gift-in-kind/third party donations with members of the community
  • Participate in the Foundation's donor recognition program. Manage honor roll updates to the website, plaques, and external communications
  • Demonstrate an understanding of mission, values and goals of Doylestown Health and Doylestown Health Foundation
  • Work as a collaborative member of the Foundation Office, supporting fundraising activities, special events, communications and other duties as needed.
Job Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Education : Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience : A minimum of 3 years of related experience is required. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office. Strong experience with donor database(s) preferred. Strong knowledge of payment service systems.
  • Must have professional demeanor and use excellent judgment in working with executive level faculty/staff/volunteers.
  • Excellent project management skills required. Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong team player and adaptable; ability to work independently; good interpersonal skills; a ttention to detail is a must.
