The Agency of Transportation (AOT) is looking for a motivated individual to join our Chimney Corners team as a Vehicle and Equipment Technician. The work is challenging and the service it provides to the traveling public is rewarding. This shop is responsible for the repair and maintenance of a fleet of 140 units. Those units include light and medium duty pickups, heavy duty dump trucks, bucket loaders, backhoes, excavators, trailers and more. Work is performed in the shop, in the field, and in all kinds of weather conditions. The ability to trouble shoot problems, exercise good judgment, while making quality repairs is a key part of the job. Applicants should work well both independently and as a member of a team, prioritize safety, and be adaptable to new technology.

This position is eligible for a sign-on and retention bonus of up to $2000! Newly hired CDL and non-CDL holders who are hired into permanent maintenance worker or mechanic job on or after July 3, 2022 are eligible.
