Job Description:

Design and Implementation
•Strengthen the UF Health IDR research data infrastructure by optimizing data capture, standardization, integration, and harmonization processes within the UF Health IDR, ensuring a robust and efficient data ecosystem that supports research and decision-making across the organization.
•Drive collaboration with the UF Health Data Warehouse team to seamlessly integrate data from diverse sources, including Social Determinants of Health (SDoH), Veterinary Medicine, Genomics, Geographic data, and unstructured data such as notes and imaging.
•Ensure that data integration maintains high standards of integrity and reliability, aligning closely with organizational goals.
• Facilitate the integration and harmonization of aforementioned data types into the OMOP CDM structure. Provide strategic direction and technical expertise to ensure that data within the CDM structure is effectively leveraged for research and analytical purposes.
• Contribute to the creation and management of an Enclave environment on HiPerGator, enabling secure access to a HIPAA-limited dataset that adheres to OMOP CDM standards.
• Implement and oversee data governance and security measures to safeguard sensitive data while enabling efficient data utilization for research and analysis.

Analysis and Documentation
• Conduct regular assessments of data quality within the IDR, identifying discrepancies, and implementing measures to address them. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data through proactive quality management initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with key stakeholders across the organization to understand data requirements comprehensively. Lead discussions and contribute to the development of data models that align with organizational objectives and support strategic decision-making.
• Work with business users to gather and analyze data needs, translating them into technical specifications
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive data with the data warehouse
• Lead efforts to ensure compliance with data protection regulations, overseeing adherence to legal and regulatory requirements related to data privacy and security.
• Lead initiatives to optimize performance, scalability, and efficiency of the IDR research data service team, driving continuous improvement efforts.

Collaboration/Research Support
• Drive collaborative efforts with researchers working on novel AI projects. Understand the objectives and assist in designing/developing solutions to achieve those objectives.

Expected Salary:

$96,500 - $125,000

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Highly proficient in Epic data structure, Epic certifications in Cogito, Clarity, and Caboodle.
• Experience in harmonizing data from diverse sources to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Familiarity with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) tools and processes for data integration.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices for effective data management.
• Expertise in SQL and database management systems such as MySQL, MS SQL, and Oracle.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python for automating tasks and workflows.
• Solid understanding of data security measures and compliance considerations, ensuring data privacy and regulatory adherence.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and clear communication abilities to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Experience or understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) concepts.
• Demonstrated capability to manage complex projects, ensuring timely delivery and successful outcomes.
