Job Title: Application Engineer/Technical Lead

Position Details:
  • This position is responsible for the planning, problem resolution, and advanced production support for multiple high-priority Bank applications.
  • Provides application technical support, maintenance, and enhancement. Installs, configures, and performs daily administration of vendor-supplied software.
  • Monitors overall performance to identify potential issues and tune appropriately.
  • Addresses failed components or technical issues and provides resolution.
Serves as a technical resource to wider business unit.
  • Experience handling the administration, maintenance and patching of servers.
  • This person will not be responsible for the administration of servers, but they must have this level of understanding in order to help upgrade, install and troubleshoot multiple applications.
  • Experience working with servers in a container environment is a plus.
  • Experience working with vendors and cross functionally - this person will be working with multiple vendors and teams to ensure problems within applications and hardware (servers) are addressed.
  • Performs system testing. Develops a comprehensive testing plan, investigates, analyzes, and determines user needs.
  • Verifies the successful implementation of software, patches, and upgrades.

  • Familiar with programming languages such as JavaScript, Microsoft .NET (C#); ASP.NET Core, HTML 5, XML; SQL Scripting and PowerShell Scripting.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) or similar code repository system.
  • Familiar with ServiceNow or other information technology service ticketing systems.
  • Knowledge of System Life Cycle Development Methodology Agile.
  • Exposure to mainframe, desktop, MS Windows, and UNIX system integration.
  • Ability to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on a rotating basis.

  • Check Processing Knowledge, Research and Exceptions Processing (NSF, Hard Hold, Stop Pay)
