Job Title: Application Engineer
Location: Bridgewater NJ
Shift: M-F 8am-5pm
Type: Contract 5 months
Pay Rate: $31.26 - $36.66 per hour

Requirements:

• 2 or 4 year science or engineering degree preferred, or applicable work related experience (i.e. Chem Eng, Chemistry, Material Science, or relevant discipline).
• Experience with adhesives, coatings, or related materials is a plus
• Experience in a laboratory environment is a plus
• Ability to multi-task and deliver accurate results in short timeframes
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills with attention to details
• Ability to show initiative and to work independently as well as in teams
• Proficient in the use of computer software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, including the use of graphing and tabulation functions

Responsibilities:

• Plans and conducts concurrent technical assignments and laboratory work for Tapes and Labels business and customers.
• Performs standard adhesive physical and performance lab tests as well as testing on customer/supplier materials, substrates, etc.
• Coordinates necessary testing with other functions (i.e., Product Development) and on-site Analytical Sciences Group.
• Prepares laboratory reports which present findings and conclusions, uploads them to the required database(s) and communicates results to stakeholders.
• Prioritizes projects/experiments based on awareness of customer needs.
• Recommends priorities and next steps for projects and experiments based on understanding of internal business or customer needs.
• Maintains ownership of laboratory space and equipment, including inventory, ordering of lab supplies, and calibration of equipment
• Responsible for meeting all Safety Requirements including SOP reviews, training, SDS, sample labeling, housekeeping, etc
• Travel Minimal 0-5%
