Your Tasks
  • Maintains expert level of product knowledge and application
  • Listens, understands and conveys customer requirements
  • Manages technical deliverables for engineered to order projects:
    • Reviews customer technical specifications and prepares the system description/mark-ups.
    • Serves as technical contact for customers relating to warranty or field issues
    • Ensures engineering requirements are prepared and delivered to the customer
    • Responsible for maintaining professional business relationships
  • Provides technical support for customer visits, preparing technical presentations, and is the lead engineering representative for preparing quotes and/or drawings and models
  • Leads the product design efforts to meet specific customer requirements. Write technical documentation relevant to specific projects. Check fabrication drawings
  • Defines the mechanical design of the product/system providing concept models/mark-ups to design department
  • Utilizes appropriate design tools, perform the sizing and application functions and may also generate dimensional and fabrication drawings for manufacturing
  • Works closely with the project manager to align deliverables, overall project schedule and requirements
  • Provides application and sizing information to sales department
  • Provides issue resolution for production and warranty issues and order changes
  • Identifies customer's needs and sales opportunities to help future growth
  • Provides technical assistance and training in the areas of product application, sizing, selection and design to sales personnel as required.

Your Skills
  • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent degree in a related technical field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering or related field
  • Knowledge of the physical/chemical principles of acoustics, filtration, aerodynamics and exhaust after-treatment
  • Knowledge of ASME Pressure Vessel design
  • Must have working knowledge of instrumentation used for test and evaluation
  • Experience in Air Pollution Control a plus
  • Able to train and work in a team environment
  • Proficient with 3-D CAD systems and CREO
  • Experience with sheet metal, steel fabrication, welding and manufacturing process.
