JOB DESCRIPTION:
Work as part of the Student Services Application Support Team to support and train staff on the use of applications such as Eduphoria and Canvas.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Develop training material for Canvas and Eduphoria.

  2. Conduct staff development on all Canvas and Eduphoria applications appropriate for teachers and administrators.

  3. Serve as liaison to software and hardware vendors to maintain appropriate product support for Canvas and Eduphoria.

  4. Analyze data for campus administration.

  5. Plans, executes, and monitors standards for the district use of Canvas.

  6. Solicit annual input on Canvas implementation from campuses and design changes to interfaces where appropriate.

  7. Responsible for planning, designing, and implementing user reference resources for Eduphoria and Canvas.

  8. Help resolve user issues.

  9. Monitor and analyze issues in the import process from eSchool and eFinance to Canvas.

  10. Solicit information from users on Eduphoria configuration and decide on appropriate changes to implement.

  11. Test new releases of Canvas and how it aligns with user needs. Communicate changes to the district staff.

  12. Develop Canvas training material for all district parents.

  13. Conduct training class on Canvas for district parents.

  14. Monitor cases in the Canvas support system.

  15. Participate in the Canvas community to help drive product direction.

  16. Assesses the performance and operation of the Eduphoria servers.

  17. Monitor and analyze issues in import processes from eSchool and active directory to Eduphoria.

  18. Support all CISD employees using Eduphoria applications.

  19. Support the efforts of the Technology Department in implementing the overall technology plan for the District.

  20. Perform other duties consistent with knowledge and skills as may be assigned from time to time.
EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in use of Canvas Learning Management System

  • Experience end-user support and training
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Special Knowledge/Skills:
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work with people
  • Service oriented
  • Ability to develop training material appropriate to the various levels of users
  • Ability to analyze problems and interface with the vendor to implement solutions
